Eleanor Jaqueline Cristobal, 86, of Brunswick, Georgia, entered peacefully into our Lord's eternal rest on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Addington Place Assisted Living Community of Brunswick.

Eleanor was born to Bert and Helene Rudd on January 17, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the loving wife for 64 years to the late Luis Laca Cristobal (USN). Luis was transferred to NAS Glynco in 1968 with Eleanor and their family. She worked with the Glynn County Tax Assessors office and retired as a Clerical Supervisor. Eleanor Jaqueline Cristobal, 86, of Brunswick, Georgia, entered peacefully into our Lord's eternal rest on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Addington Place Assisted Living Community of Brunswick.

Eleanor was born to Bert and Helene Rudd on January 17, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the loving wife for 64 years to the late Luis Laca Cristobal (USN). Luis was transferred to NAS Glynco in 1968 with Eleanor and their family. She worked with the Glynn County Tax Assessors office and retired as a Clerical Supervisor. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Brunswick.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents Bert and Helene Rudd, her sister Patricia Ueda and her devoted husband Luis. Left to cherish her memory are her sister Roberta O'Donnell, son Wayne (Peggy) Cristobal of Brunswick, daughter Martine (Scott USA, ret) Armstrong of Augusta and daughter Kim (Richard) Thompson of Guyton. She leaves grandchildren Tara Davis, Tracy (Tony) Reyna, Travis (Miriam) Cristobal, Dr. Adam Thompson, Michelle (Austin) Hodges, Kevin (Krystal) Thompson and Justine Beaman. Eleanor is also survived by her great grandchildren, Dalton Davis, Dylan Reyna, Emily Davis, Davis Reyna, Harrison Cristobal, Tanner Cristobal, Madeline Hodges, Harper Eleanor Hodges, Adley Thompson and several nieces and nephews.

Eleanor loved to spend time with her family. She enjoyed bingo, bunco, gardening, movies, listening to music and was an immense animal lover. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A private family graveside memorial service will be held with Father Tim McKeown officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of the family. The family will host a reception for friends of the family on January 20th at 12 pm at The Knights of Columbus Hall.

The family would like to thank Dr. Herman Levy and his daughter Stephanie for the care, comfort, love and friendship given to Eleanor and the family.
Also to Sister Anna who gave her friendship, love and companionship.
Heartfelt thanks are also extended to the staff of Addington Place for the love and professional care they gave to Eleanor over the past several years. Also to Heartland Hospice for giving her the comfort and dignity she needed and deserved as we said goodbye.
