James "Randy" Walker of Townsend, GA passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the young age of 62.

Randy was born on September 30, 1954 in Macon, GA to Scott and Harriett Walker. He moved to McIntosh County 40 years ago and was a truck driver. Not only was it his job, it was his passion. Randy loved to hunt and fish. He was a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association. He also enjoyed gardening and playing with his grandchildren. James "Randy" Walker of Townsend, GA passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the young age of 62.

Randy was born on September 30, 1954 in Macon, GA to Scott and Harriett Walker. He moved to McIntosh County 40 years ago and was a truck driver. Not only was it his job, it was his passion. Randy loved to hunt and fish. He was a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association. He also enjoyed gardening and playing with his grandchildren. He was eager to share their photos with everyone. His daughters and their careers made him proud. Affectionately known as "Papa" to his family he never met a stranger and will always be remembered for his endless sense of humor.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson L.B. Morris.

Randy is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Patricia Walker; and his children Christina Ricker and her husband Jerry, Amanda Morris and her husband Malachi, Katie Walker, and Bethany Curington. He loved his son-in-laws dearly and each one held a special place in his heart. Also surviving is his nephew Robert "Bobby" Rayhon III who was like a son; his 7 grandchildren Dalton Ricker, Seth Ricker, Aubree Walker, Matthew Morris, Madelyn Morris, Wilson Ulrich, and Saylor Brawdy; his sister Deborah (Keith) Pittman; and his brother Wendell (Patsy) Walker.

A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Thursday, June 15 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons with a reception to immediately follow.
