Mrs. Myrtle Wright, age 93, of Brunswick, Ga passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.

Mrs. Wright was born in Lyons, Ga the daughter of Alonzo and Elizabeth Adams. She was married to the late George Washington Wright. She was a homemaker as well as lifetime and faithful member of Brunswick Church of God of Prophecy. She enjoyed attending church services more than anything in the entire world. She would sing praises to the good Lord at the top of her lungs, however, every note was off key.

She enjoyed life with intense love and laughter. For 30 years she shared these qualities with Roosevelt Harris, Jr. Senior Citizen Center. Bingo was her favorite pastime. No matter where she was she was always looking for someone to pick on and bring happiness to everyone.

Even though she never had any children of her own, with blazing red hair she fell head over heels for her little redheaded niece, Mary Ann Adams Aldridge. She always told little Mary Ann that she would always be able to hold her in her lap forever.

In addition to her husband and parents she is predeceased by her sisters Bessie A. Holland, Janie A. Roddenberry, Etta Mae A. Anderson, Bertha A. Beasley, Alvenia A. Depratter, Lecie A. Rawlinson, and Dollie Mae Adams; her brothers Lester Adams, Cordell Adams, Bill Kent Adams, Earnest Adams, Leroy Adams and Robert Adams.

She is survived by one brother, Raymond Adams and his wife Helen; and her nephew and caregivers Curtis and Reba Usher.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, September 20, 2017 in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons with Bishop Keith Burch and Rev Richard Kemp
officiating. Entombment will be at Palmetto Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Church of God of Prophecy Adult Sunday School Class.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Myrtle's memory may be made to Church of God of Prophecy, Brunswick, Ga or to a charity of your choice.

Arrangements are entrusted with Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
